My Story: A disabled vet speaks out about #S2173 in NJ. How I was treated by the Governor and his staff!

As many of you who follow this story may know by now, I am the disabled veteran, who called in and spoke to the Governor of New Jersey, Phil Murphy live on the AskGovMurphy show on December 19th, 2019.  Click on the link to listen to our conversation.  Just in case the link is broken, or gets removed, I typed the conversation below.  Please note, the first question on this issue can be found approximately 10 minutes into the show.  My question came on around minute 21.  This will save you all some time, since the clip is 56 minutes long.

Me: “My specific question is also with regards to Senate Bill S2173.  I do understand your position is based on science and fact, which is precisely why I am calling because I actually have scientific information that I would like you to consider.  So, when I hear that there is no science or facts on the side of opposition to vaccinations that’s just simply not true.  I happen to be a disabled veteran suffering from Gulf War Illness that was due to the anthrax vaccination that contains an oil based adjuvant called squalene.  Adjuvants themselves have been linked to something called autoimmune inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants (ASIA), and this is responsible for a lot of autoimmune diseases. I myself, like I said am a disabled veteran because of this, and I think this is definitely pertinent, relevant information that is published in scientific peer reviewed journals, and I would implore you to at least be willing to listen to.  I‘m actually in the process of sending this to Senator Sweeney’s office, and I would love to send them to you as well.”

Governor Murhpy: “Okay, Joe, listen, very fair.  First of all before I talk about your specific offer, thank you for your service to our country. God Bless you for that.  Separately, we take input from all sides on every issue including this one. So, we are more than happy to connect with you, in fact, our whole cabinet as usual is listening tonight, and I would love to ask our Commissioner of the Department of Health Judy Persichilli, or one of her designees to reach out to you. We will try to get back to you by tomorrow and try to get that information from you.  Again, thank you for your service and thank you for offering to give us the information.”

The question is did this happen?  Were they “more than happy to connect with me”?

Sadly, NO!  I had to call the Governor’s office myself 4 days later on December 23, 2019, to find out why I haven’t received a phone call from Judy Persichilli, as promised by the Governor.  To their credit, she did call me back later that same day.  Judy and I spoke at great length on the phone that day.

What was most surprising to me during our conversation is that she admitted to me that she was not aware of the ASIA syndrome research I mentioned.  This should be utterly shocking to every parent in this state.  This is supposed to be the Commission of Health, who is tasked with public health safety.  How can she not be familiar with this research?

I proceeded to tell her my story, and the connection that exists between dangerous adjuvants like squalene and other autoimmune conditions caused by adjuvants, such as aluminum.  Her response to this was to claim that information she read on this briefly prior to our call did not convince her of this connection.  I then asked her which specific peer reviewed scientific information she was referring to, and that it is very important that she is not reading information provided by, or funded by the pharmaceutical industry.  She agreed to send me the information that informed her opinion, which I was happy to hear.  When I asked her if she could send me this information.  Her response was, “I don’t do that. I have people that do that for me”

So, did she send me this information?  Sadly, NO! Take a look at the email I sent Judy Persichilli after our phone conversation. I also asked her if she could pass along a message to the Governor for me asking if he would please call me back. This never happened either, since I am still waiting for that phone call…

Please note, Judy delegated the responsibility of sending me the peer reviewed science that informed her opinion to her Communications director, Donna, who I mention in the email below.

Hi Judy,

It was nice speaking with you earlier today.  I was certainly glad to hear that you were not familiar with the Autoimmune inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants (ASIA) that I discussed on the air with Governor Murphy.

This makes the peer reviewed scientific information that I have even more urgent!

The discovery of this research is what motivated me to call the AskGovMurphy show, and why it is imperative that this information is well read, understood and considered prior to a vote being casted on S2173.

I forgot to mention that I attempted to alert WHYY of this issue this morning when they were discussing concerns over the potential passage of S2173.  To my surprise, I was informed that I would NOT be put on the air, and instead was simply thanked for tuning in.  This issue needs to be treated with a greater sense of urgency, instead of brushed aside and ignored.

This is also why I also asked you if it would be possible to speak with the governor on this issue directly, especially considering that all signs indicate that Senator Sweeney is determined to re-introduce Senate bill 2173 in January.  If this happens, and S2173 passes, then the Governor will be the only person who can stop what will certainly amount to a true cause for concern regarding public health for many residents in the state of New Jersey in the near future.  With this being said, it is imperative that he also read this information prior to making a decision if this bill happens to proceed further.

I look forward to reading the articles that you were able to research on the ASIA syndrome that you mentioned reading prior to our conversation. I spoke with Donna, who informed me that she will try to get these articles to me by today.  Thank you for this.  However, it is now 5:36 and I have not received them as of yet.

It is also important to point, as I mentioned during our conversation that there are plenty of other articles in addition to the articles that I suspect you may have read that shed an enormous light on the role adjuvants play in autoimmune illnesses.

Below is the email I sent to Amanda with some of the information pertaining to ASIA syndrome.  Amanda informed me that she would disseminate this research to the members of the health committee, as well as Senator Sweeney himself.

Thanks again for your time today!

I really appreciate it. Please let me know how well this information is received, and when I can expect to speak with the Governor.

Below is the message I forwarded to Judy Persichilli from Sweeney’s aid, Amanda.  Note, Amanda did actually reach out to me, which was actually surprising to me, as I mentioned to her on the phone.  We also spoke at great length, and she seemed to be familiar with research, so I sent her 14 peer reviewed articles that were part of this attachment.  She assured me that this information would be given to Senator Sweeney and the members of the health committee.

Hi Amanda,

It was a pleasure speaking with you earlier.  (Please see the attached documents as per our conversation).  As I mentioned, my illness led me to discover peer reviewed evidence suggesting the anthrax vaccination causes Gulf War Illness (GWI).   Specifically, the oil-based adjuvant squalene that the anthrax vaccine contained.  This stunning realization then led me to further research if any other vaccines may cause autoimmune illnesses similar to GWI.  Unfortunately, this turns out to be the case, as can be seen in the evidence attached.  For me this issue is not about “passion”, it’s about the safety and health of my children.

Thanks again for contacting me.  I really appreciate it!

Please let me know how well this information is received.

So, what happened? Did I hear back from Amanda? Did I hear back from Donna? Did I hear back from the Governor?  I’m guessing you probably know the answer to that already.

Sadly NO! I sent plenty of emails, but haven’t hear back from anyone!

WHY NOT?  Why are the people in power in NJ breaking promises made live on the air, on the phone, and in email to a disabled veteran who was vaccine injured!!

This gives new meaning to the frame ‘science and facts’ We give them the science and they ignore the facts!

P.S. I’m hoping that if enough people bring this to the attention of the Governor, Judy Persichilli, Donna, Senator Sweeney, Senator Joseph Vitale, Senator Loretta Weinberg (the sponsors of the bill) and members of the Health Committee that I may just get the response I have been promised.
